Welcome to my personal website. I’m Anzer Ayoob — journalist, author, and media entrepreneur based in Jammu & Kashmir’s Chenab Valley.
As the founder and Editor-in-Chief of The Chenab Times, I’ve dedicated my work to covering stories that often go unheard — voices from remote communities, environmental and cultural issues, and matters that truly affect the people of the Chenab region.
🧭 My Journey
I began my journalism career at a grassroots level, using social media to highlight tourism and local challenges in my hometown of Doda. What started as a Facebook page in 2017 eventually became The Chenab Times — a platform built to serve as the voice of marginalized people in Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, and beyond.
Despite being a college dropout, I committed myself full-time to reporting, language preservation, and media advocacy — often publishing multilingual news bulletins in Sarazi, Bhaderwahi, and other regional languages.
